Telepresence Analyst - San Jose, California

CTS Operation Analyst/engineer – contract position
2-3 years experience programming callmanager, Linux/Unix, CUCM,
Networking, MS Visio, CCNA certification a plus.

The responsibilities include:

  • Debug TelePresence audio/video issues.
  • Ability to analyze, configure and troubleshoot TelePresence hardware/software issues such as Codec, etc.; training will be provided.
  • Help with any technical escalation, especially around the CTM area.
  • Work very closely with other IT teams such as TAC, INS, IOSS to coordinate, debug or/and fix problems.
  • Support the EBCs and the executive rooms in building 10 and other locations.
  • Should be able to support CTS trade/road shows and B to B; he/she will be working very closely with internal/external clients.
  • Carry on duty pager (24X7) to help in debugging and fix TelePresence urgent/critical issues (P1, P2, P3-S1). This pager will rotated among team members on weekly bases.
  • Provide weekly/bi-weekly metrics. The data comes from different sources.  He/she will be responsible to consolidate the data, and then present it in a power point format.
  • Ability to manager CTS-IT internal projects such software upgrade (Plasma, Codec, etc), new camera cluster replacements, etc.

Skills Required

  • Desktop support experience.
  • Knowledge of IP, Routing, Switching, Cisco CallManager or A/V knowledge.
  • IP Video Conferencing or Video technology knowledge is a plus.
  • Unix/Linux debugging skills.  He/She should be able to login into the Codec review logs, check configurations, and then report to the BU if required.
  • Excellent coordination skills.
  • Ability to deploy/apply new technology independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing as well as express thoughts and ideas effectively to others through variety of media to individuals or groups.
  • Shares information and communicates clearly with team members to improve team effectiveness.

Network Engineer Tier 3-CCIE - San Jose, California

Sr. Network Engineer III (Routing and Switching)-(San Jose-CA)
8-10 years experience in Routing Switching, CCIE certified a plus, Data Center, Load Balancing, Sysadmin skills, CSM, UCS, Nexus.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This Engineering Resource will serve as a Senior Engineer.  The person hired should have at least 8-10 years experience as an Engineer in the Routing and Switching field.  Key considerations should include experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking such as; OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP, Route Redistribution, ACLs, QoS, STP, Multicast, IPv6.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical pre-planning for Networking features and product rollouts.
  • Staging and interoperability testing with Network teams.
  • Complete responsibility for owned product areas (i.e. new system release planning, patching, user notification, upgrades, equipment orders,  etc.)
  • Maintain and operate existing ASG infrastructure.
  • Primary support contact for assigned Business Unit accounts.
  • Work with various business units and external departments on projects ranging from expansion projects to new product rollouts.
  • On-call duty pager rotation.
  • Attend regular meetings for project planning.
  • Provide trending reports for various products.
  • Assist in other areas of ASG as needed.

CANDIDATE: 

This person should have a collaborative work ethic and an ability to work in a fast pace, ever changing environment.  They should be flexible yet proactive.  They should have the skill set to forge ahead through Beta testing issues and work with various Business Units to resolve identified issues.  This person should be a leader in the technology field and proactively obtain information about products/features on the roadmap.

Essential Skills:

  • 8 – 10 years of Networking experience is required
    Strong network background (Layer 2 & Layer 3).
  • The candidate should have expert knowledge focused on network technology. Detailed knowledge of Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, IS-IS, EIGRP is required as well as expert, hands-on involvement with interconnecting Cisco router and switch products with one another on an enterprise scale. In depth knowledge of Cisco router and switch configuration and deployment as well as interoperability and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of other Cisco products such as 3k, 4k and 6k switches, SUP32/720, etc. Excellent QoS experience as it pertains to 3k, 4k & 6k Cisco platforms (DSCP-COS mapping, AutoQoS, MQC, etc.).  Candidate also needs to possess: knowledge of enterprise deployment common practices and understanding how complex technology integration affects the overall network stability and performance.
  • The candidate should have experience working in large enterprise environments. Cross-departmental project experience is fundamental. Able to translate project specifications and requirements into project plans and diagrams will be critical to the roll. Visio and Power Point presentation familiarity is required. STRONG ability to troubleshoot problems on a wide scale in a global environment. Being able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and participate as a team player is crucial.
  • Communication and writing skills (Engineering will communicate with project networks for items such as outages, upgrades, overall maintenance).
  • Ability to delegate (Engineering will need to understand lower level tasks that can be delegated to other members of the team for maximum performance).
  • Ability to multitask projects and issues.
  • Be a team player (Able to reach out to other members of the team when needed and also respond to requests from other team members).
  • Ownership (Fully own any projects assigned, taking any and all steps to continually meet critical due dates).
  • Proactive (not reactive).
  • Ability to adapt/learn new protocols/technologies and integrate them in timely manner.

Vast knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SCCP, SSCCP, SIP, SSIP, MGCP, H.323, H.263/H.264 is required as well as expert, hands-on involvement with interconnecting Cisco UC products with one another on an enterprise scale (CUCM, Unity, UnityConnection, CUPS, CUMA, CUAE, MeetingPlace, etc.). In depth knowledge of voice gateway configuration (ISR Cube, IPIPGW, 38XX series) and deployment as well as interoperability and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of other Cisco products such as 3k, 4k and 6k switches, SUP32/720, etc. Excellent QoS experience as it pertains to 3k, 4k & 6k Cisco platforms (DSCP-COS mapping, AutoQoS, MQC, etc.). The candidate should also be proficient with MicroSoft programming such as Active Directory and MS Exchange.

Project Manager US for Global Field Implementation

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Deliver services and technologies to provide Corporate Communications Solutions. Provide Professional Services, Operational Services, Supply Chain Services and Managed Services to customers. Globalize the Field Implementation service in order to reduce total costs, accelerate technology deployments and ensure a robust and resilient network infrastructure by consistent best practices during deployment planning as well as during implementation activities.

The responsibilities include:

  • Deliver successful internal IT projects in a global managed service environment.
  • Represent the client's ICT department during the implementation of intelligent network projects.
  • Manage the project lifecycle in line with the company's shared standard project methodology.
  • Communicate and report effectively on project status to the client as well as internally.
  • Responsible for project planning - implementation - budget - resource management and quality of project delivery.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Network and Data Center Services seeks an Administrative Professional (contract position) to provide support to senior leaders and direct management team. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and willing to adapt to changing needs. This function reports to the organization’s business manager.

The responsibilities include:
