Engineering Analyst I - Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
Our STS team is looking for engineering analysts to work as a member of our Global Technical Response Center to, primarily support Level 1 Engineering requests for internal employees.
Responsibilities
Provide resolution of procedural, process, information and technical problems for requests from internal client base submitted by phone or automated means
- Provide audit trail of all problems and resolution (input, monitor, action, close) through the use of required tools
- Ability to also support Windows XP in an enterprise configuration and understand some of the difficulties an Engineer (UNIX/Linux user) is challenged with this type of setup
- Assume ownership of problems from any internal client, and follow path of escalated contacts to insure the problems are resolved in timely and effective ways to the satisfaction of the requestor
- Follow-up with clients and utilize case handling and closure policies to insure satisfaction
- Identify systematic problems and/or recommend opportunities for improvement that will eliminate or reduce problems in the field
- Act as advocates for the internal clients to insure their needs and concerns are addresses
- Follow established procedures for call referral, escalation and problem resolution
- Work cooperatively with other team members to resolve problems to the satisfaction of the administrators
- Recommend modifications to existing procedures or new procedures that will improve the overall operation of the Help Desk Team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Undergrad Degree (CS or EE a plus) or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows XP operating systems
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of engineering and non-engineering staff via phone, email, and/or IM
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues of varying complexity with minimal supervision
- Applies established solutions to solve known issues and assists in the development of solutions for new issues
- Able to manage crisis situations effectively
- Manage multiple, simultaneous projects and cases while maintaining predefined service levels and high customer satisfaction
- May require some weekend or after-hours work

Project Manager - Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
Project Manager US for Global Field Implementation
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Deliver services and technologies to provide Corporate Communications Solutions. Provide Professional Services, Operational Services, Supply Chain Services and Managed Services to customers. Globalize the Field Implementation service in order to reduce total costs, accelerate technology deployments and ensure a robust and resilient network infrastructure by consistent best practices during deployment planning as well as during implementation activities.
The responsibilities include:
- Deliver successful internal IT projects in a global managed service environment.
- Represent the client's ICT department during the implementation of intelligent network projects.
- Manage the project lifecycle in line with the company's shared standard project methodology.
- Communicate and report effectively on project status to the client as well as internally.
- Responsible for project planning - implementation - budget - resource management and quality of project delivery.
- Plan and coordinate network interventions with internal users and external vendors.
- Coordinate installations cabling and the set-up work of Cisco equipment.
- Maintain effective working relations with ISP providers.
- Supervision and coordination of cabling works and various infrastructure works with external suppliers and vendors.
- Participate in changes and incident management of the Field Implementation environment.
- Create pro-actively and take initiative to optimize and improve the project team.
Skills Required
- Higher education in information technology and/or computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- A first working experience in the ICR sector as a Project Manager.
- Experience in management of infrastructure and/or implementation projects.
- Motivation and commitment to deliver under tight time constraints.
- Network or systems experience. Knowledge of LAN-WAN communication infrastructure and of the market evolution in the Data Communications environment in general. (Equipment, protocols, network management, telecommunication providers, etc).
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office software tools.
- Project methodologies such as Prince2 - PMI etc.
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing with considerable attention for detail.
- Maintain strong interpersonal communication skills and is well organized and can work independently.
- Identify and analyze problems and offer solutions.
- Able to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Fluent working knowledge of English (oral and written) is required.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a definite plus.
- Team player who is willing to travel.
